The Historiale museum has been creted by the city of Cassino to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Battle of Cassino. The project had involved the Officine Rambaldi, created by Carlo Rambaldi the so called 'father of E.T.'. It was designed and created using very  interesting archive films expecially the one of the bombing of the abbey. It is an informative and incredibly moving museum charting the history of Monte Cassino and Cassino town through the ages but focusing on the terrible events of 1944, when it was at the centre of the Battle for Rome. The museum uses pictures, models, maps, and displays to take the visitor on a journey through those times. a MUST SEE if you visit Cassino

Il museo Historiale e' stato creato dalla citta di Cassino per celebrate i 60aa dalla Battaglia di Cassino. Il progetto ha coinvolto le Officine Rambaldi, create da Carlo Rambaldi il cosi detto 'padre di E.T.'. E' stato disegnato e progettato usando interessanti film d'archivio, soprattutto quello del bombardamento dell'abbazia. E'un museo molto interessante e ben costruito, che fa leva sulle emozioni per raccontare la storia di Montecassino e di Cassino attraverso le decadi, ma sottolineando sopratutto i terribili eventi del 1944, quando fu al centro della trementa Battaglia per Roma. Il museo usa foto, plastici, mappe e schermi per far rivivere al visitatore un viaggio incredibile attraverso quei tempi terribili. IMPERDIBILE se visitate Cassino con una guida turistica.
